Google announces latest changes to its ‘broad core algorithm update’

Google has announced its latest “broad core algorithm update” which it says will help pages that were previously “under-rewarded” by improving their rankings.

Google carries out algorithm updates throughout the year, however, as a result of this latest core update, some websites may note drops or gains in their rankings.

The tech giant says there is nothing specific that can be done to tweak a website’s rankings around these updates but says that by improving the overall quality of a site, content, architecture etc, these changes should hopefully benefit good websites.

Google insisted that “pages that were previously under-rewarded” would see a benefit from these core updates but maintained that there’s nothing wrong with pages that may now perform less well. There’s no “fix” for such pages other than to remain focused on building great content, they added.
